There is no single “right” way to portray autism on screen — but there are a number of common tropes and stereotypes of autistic characters that can hurt your storytelling and alienate your audience. I would love to help you tell realistic, authentic stories about autistic people like me.
I offer script consulting and authenticity reading for screenplays which feature an autistic character or plots related to autism. In addition to being an autism and neurodiversity coach, I am a professional screenwriter and director with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.

For short screenplays and pilots, starting at $250
We’ll start with a 20 minute phone call to get a sense of your goals and primary concerns, and then after reading your screenplay I will provide a written report.

For feature screenplays or other long-form writing, starting at $165/hour
After reading your screenplay, I will provide both comprehensive written notes and follow up phone calls if desired. This service includes a free, 20 minute introductory phone call before we get started.

Any length project
Script consultation offers more comprehensive feedback than authenticity reading, including insight into character development, plot, and structure as it relates to autism (or in limited cases, other forms of neurodiversity). I can offer both flat and hourly rates depending upon the scale of the project.
